The Armoire arrived with a 1 inch chip out of one side and a scratch on the top inside surface. Customer service was very responsive but the credit offered was not really sufficient to compensate for the damage. However, rather than repackage the item and send it back, wait for the return, etc. we chose to keep the item and attempt to repair the chip and scratch ourselves. The armoire itself is as described, a thin verneer over fiberboard, which makes repairing chips and scratches challenging.
Bottom Line Yes, I would recommend this to a friend

The piece arrived damaged and with two leg boilts missing.
The bolts cost me $1.19 at Lowes. The right side door had the screws ripted out of the hindge. Likely shipping impact damage. One leg was cracked a manufacturing screw up requiring glue and clamps to fix along with finish touch up. All damage was fixed by me in about two hours of work and use of years of wood working experience.Quality is not good. This could have been a return but that is also a pain so I fixed it.

I received the box ahead of time which was great and was easy to put together. The only thing I did not like is the fact that one of the side doors had worked its way out and the screw holes were bored out. Had to find a bigger screw to fix it. Also on the bottom where the leg is attached, there was a split which is not visible. I will keep it instead of trying to pack it all back up and returning it. I can live with the defect on the bottom.

I like the jewelry box and will keep it, but when it arrived, one of the side doors was loose and apparently the small screws had worked their way out and would not go back in as the holes would not hold them anymore, had to find larger screws to replace them. The screws were scattered all through the box. On the lower part, there is a split by one of the legs which is not visible so will keep it cause I didnt want to have to try to re-pack it all and send it back.
