A: Yes - the entire chest is made of solid wood products. The front of the chest, all drawer fronts, lid and trim are made of solid oak. The sides and back are made of plywood with an Oak veneer applied to the outside.

A: Veneer is a thin wood layer. Veneered construction refers to furniture that is made in whole or in part by using veneer bonded to an inner core. In the case of this armoire, the outer oak veneer is bonded to the plywood. Veneer construction is used in 80% of furniture manufactured from budget to high price points.

Q3: On the necklace bars that roll out, are there necklace hooks?

A: There are wooden pegs that the necklaces hang on. There are 6 pegs on each bar.

Q4: What is the hanging distance for necklaces on the bars?

A: 10.5 inches.

Are the drawers divided, and how?

A: The top tray has wooden dividers and ring pillows. The inside set of four smaller drawers have two drawers with wooden dividers. All other drawers are open, with no dividers.

The Antonia jewelry armoire is beautifully crafted of Oak with hand-carved floral trim at top and brass knobs. The front is solid Oak including drawer fronts, doors and lid. The sides and back are made of Oak veneer. All trim is made of solid Oak. The doors open to reveal additional storage including two necklace bars. The Antonia makes a great gift for that special someone!

Individual drawer information: The lid lifts to reveal a storage area and mirror. The two front doors swing open and tucked away inside are 4 small drawers, 1 larger drawer and two necklace bars that pull out on ball bearing glides. The lower portion of the armoire has a total of five drawers including a hidden drawer in the front base. All drawers are dovetail constructed with pins and metal glides. All of the smaller drawers are lined on the bottom with 1/4" burgundy headliner foam. The two larger drawers are lined on the bottom with a cedar veneer.
