Assembly

Finished cabinets are ready to be mounted to the wall and recessed models are ready to be recessed into wall. Professional help may be necessary to install armoire; a hole will need to be cut in the wall to mount. Armoire recesses 2.25 inches into wall, so depth of wall cavity will need to be measured. It is also necessary to use a stud finder to find studs before any installation to ensure hole is cut correctly. Please see instructions included in armoire.

I love everything about this jewelry armoire. It's well constructed, has a beveled mirror, and looks great in my fancy new closet. The hidden lock is a nice asset. There is plenty of room for all my jewelry. (Okay, a little lite in the bracelet area, but I've hung them on both sides of the earring racks to compensate.) Worth every penny.

I researched several different recessed jewelry armoires and decided that this was the best choice. Unlike the cheaper model I found, this model has matching integarted wood trim moulding all the way around the box to hide the recess. The other model I looked at had no trim so it was just supposed to be stuck in the wall and caulked around the rough edge - not a very attractive install. I also liked this model better since it has more a lot more space for earrings, which is the item I most needed storage for. The quality of the wood was overall good, but a wood knot in the frame of my box bothers me, and that is why I gave this 4 starts instead of 5. Finally, I like this model because it is made in America, not in China like all the competitor models I looked at. So, in summary, since this is a better product overall plus it's made in America, this is worth the price over the cheaper competitor model.

It is supposed to be a secret storage, but the key receptacle is plainly in site. Recommend multiple brass fittings that look alike with one being the lock.

The locking system is inadequate.

This is a great product. And I installed it my self.... sheet rock saw, nail 2 2/4 planks between the 16" studs and stick it in the wall... took me less than an hour. My only negative comment, I wished the door set more flush with the wall, if someone were looking close they can tell it will open. I have a ton of jewelry, so I was looking for a totally "secret" presentation. But I still love it

Q1: What is a magnetic lock?

A: A magnetic lock is flush with the door of the armoire so that it cannot be readily seen. Instead of a standard key, a special magnet is held next to the lock to unlock the cabinet.

Q2: What does recessed mean?

A: Recessed means the customer will literally have to cut a hole in the wall to install the product. This armoire recesses 2 1/4 inches into the wall, so the customer will need to check the depth of wall cavities. Also, a stud finder will need to be used to ensure the opening is between studs. Professional help may be necessary.

Q3: What color is the lining?

A: Green- there is not a choice of lining color

Q4: Are the keys replaceable if lost?

A: Yes.
